Week 15: The future

How I see the future technology become an even bigger and more involved part of our lives than it already is. Also, maybe the rise and fall of social media, maybe not as a whole but at least a lot of the platforms we use now. I see regular TV and cable is a thing of the past and subscription services being the only source of tv and movies. I also think about how we consume media and ads will change in the future and we will see the number of ads shown daily triple in numbers. Hopefully, superhero movies will have run their course and will finally die out in the future. I can see a lot of the famous movie franchises like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings getting remade in like 30 years to bring them back to life again. I see travel in all forms being more streamline and involving more technology and fewer humans. Career-wise, personally for the future, I see it changing from working for a large firm to eventually being independent and owning my own company. Maybe even marry rich and

Week 14: Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

Having never listened to a radio show like Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy before I was skeptical on whether or not I’d enjoy it since I don’t like the talking back and forth of podcasts. Giving it a chance, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I did in fact like it. The parts that I enjoyed the most were when the narrator would interrupt and provide additional background which added to the storyline made it feel like breaks in a chapter as if it were a book. I have heard a lot about radio shows, especially the famous War of the Worlds one, while at Ringling but I have yet to have a chance to actually listen to one. With this one being just shy of thirty minutes it was enough to give me a chance to see if I liked it enough to continue listening, which I did. The storyline itself was interesting because when they entered the spaceship I assumed that it was going to be this grand thing with lights and buttons but like the one man in the shows surprise as well – it was just old mattres
